(peltzer, simbayi, banyini & kekana, 2012) another research regarding the effect of a 60-minute session of motivational or skill-building hiv risk reduction counselling intervention followed up at 4-month intervals indicated (i) significantly greater risk reduction practices, (ii) lower rates of multiple partners, unprotected intercourse, alcohol or drug use in the context of sex, transactional sex and (iii) a greater likelihood of reduction of alcohol use and abuse.
